Texas A&M’s undergraduate research journal provides students opportunities to showcase original scholarship.
Explorations, a research journal overseen by LAUNCH:
Undergraduate Research (UGR), is now accepting submissions for its 16th volume.
Explorations serves as Texas A&M University’s official undergraduate research journal.
Released on an annual basis, the journal serves as an outlet for leadership and learning, with
students at the heart of both the research and publication processes.
Students who are interested in submitting to Explorations may submit a synopsis for
consideration here. After receiving student synopsis submissions in the early spring, the
Explorations student leadership board and faculty reviewers carefully consider scholarship in a
double-blind referee process. Only about 15-20% of submissions are accepted each publication
cycle.
Undergraduates from all disciplines are invited to submit. All research or creative scholarship
submitted to Explorations must have been conducted under the supervision of faculty
mentorship while at Texas A&M.
Synopsis submissions are due by Tuesday, Feb. 13, at 11:59 a.m. For more information regarding
the submission process and timeline, please visit here. To read past volumes of Explorations,
students can visit the digital archive or pick up a physical copy at Henderson Hall.
